*Academic: Graduate of a Doctor of Pharmacy program from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
*Professional Experience: Eligibility to become a licensed pharmacist in the state of Florida no later than August 11, 2017

Special Features: 
• Patient Care: Use your patient care abilities throughout the residency year. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the provision of MTM services to a diverse population of patients using the clinical skills you obtained throughout the PharmD curriculum. You will apply practice guidelines and clinical evidence, as well as communication skills, while interacting with both patients and providers. 
• Teaching and Academics: Cultivate your mentoring skills and create a teaching philosophy. Residents are an integral part of the APPE student experience, and coordinate interactive clinical activities with the student pharmacists. You may also have the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate from the University of Florida as part of your residency program.
• Administration and Projects: Contribute to the leadership and business principles of creating and running a successful MTM program, including contributing to quality assurance initiatives. You will be responsible for running specific projects as the opportunities arise. You will also complete a research project, in conjunction with your faculty preceptor, and will have the opportunity to present your project findings at the annual AMCP conference (or other such national meeting).
• Externships: Enhance your knowledge based by attending an externship with one of our business partners. There may be opportunities to spend a few weeks to a month with one of our local business partners to learn more about their business and how our collaboration is mutually beneficial. These are limited opportunities, and not always available throughout the residency year.
