AMCP Foundation Board Adds Six Distinguished Health Care Leaders

New trustees continue the AMCP Foundation Board's fundamental transformation, as it pursues new strategic priorities to advance managed care pharmacy.

Tampa, FL, April 2, 2014 — The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) today announced the election of six new members to the AMCP Foundation Board of Trustees.
"Our six new distinguished trustees will add new insights, expertise and breadth to the AMCP Foundation's strategic direction and ambitious agenda," said Edith A. Rosato, RPh, IOM, AMCP's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. "It continues the fundamental transformation of the board membership of the last 2 years, as it sets and pursues new strategic priorities to advance managed care pharmacy. I'm very much looking forward to working with the entire Board this year as we continue its growth trajectory." 
The newly elected Trustees were announced at AMCP's Annual Meeting & Expo in Tampa, Fl., and include:
  • Christopher V. Goff, CEO/General Counsel, Employers Health, a national coalition of employers addressing health care costs while improving quality and access 
  • Newell McElwee, Executive Director, US Outcomes Research Group at Merck & Co. 
  • Kathleen Moreo, RN, BSN, CCN, President & CEO, PRIME Education Inc., a national medical education company 
  • Lynn Shapiro Snyder of Washington, DC-based law firm of Epstein Becker Green, specializing in health care 
  • Karen Teitelbaum, Executive Vice President/COO, Sinai Health System, consisting of seven hospitals and institutes in the greater Chicago area 
  • David Wheeler, CFO & Executive Vice President, MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc., a provider of pharmacy benefits to more than 47 million individuals
