Diversified Leadership Elected To Head AMCP Foundation 

Alan J. Chernov, MD, was elected President of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation at an April 7 meeting of the Foundation Board of Trustees. Chernov is the Medical Director of Medical Policy and Quality at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, and is the first physician to serve the Foundation in this position.

Survey: Pharmacists Are Most Confident Substituting Interchangeable Biosimilars for Brand Biologics When Products Share Nonproprietary Name 

Roughly three-quarters of pharmacists said they would feel confident or very confident substituting an interchangeable biosimilar for its branded biologic counterpart if the two products share the same nonproprietary name, according to a survey published in AMCP’s Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy.
